2022 a year full of joy
Hello to members of the church, I hope and pray that 2022 will be full of joy for you, your loved ones and all those with whom you live and work. This year's theme for our church is embracing joy. Celebrating our diversity is integral to embracing joy. Paul's first letter to the Corinthians reminds us that the body is one, even though it has many parts, and that all the different members of the body are one. It's the same with the church, we were all baptized into one body, Jews or Greek slaves or free, gay or straight, we all share the same creator. The church's unity goes hand in hand with being made up of richly diverse parts. Every one of us is called by Jesus to participate in His Church, His body, and each of us is blessed with unique gifts and talents to contribute to Christ's mission. Knowing that everyone has an important part to play, and that our faith community is made stronger by our differences is caus for us to be joyful, having minds and hearts that are open to add value. All the different members of the Church play a key part to our comprehensive identity. This year, how might your community or workplace or home joyfully celebrate the rich diversity of people and their unique gifts and talents? What will you do enthusiastically to celebrate embracing joy? I pray that 2022 is a fruitful and joy filled year for you, your family and community.
